About JCB
Joseph Cyril Bamford Excavators Ltd or simply JCB is a British OEM that manufactures equipment for construction, demolition, mining, agriculture and waste handling. JCB spare parts and machines are some of the most common and renowned. And while it has factories in several countries, India is their largest manufacturing hub.
JCB has been operating here since 1979 and around 18% of its total revenue comes from India. But the brand that is worth billions today had the most humble birth. It was founded in 1945, and the brand’s name is derived from that of the founder. Bamford made his first vehicle (a tipping trailer) from materials excess from war using his refurbished wielding set in a 180 sq ft rented garage. It moved to a cheese factory later in 1950 and had only 6 employees back then.
JCB products are being painted yellow since 1951, and the colour scheme is not the only remarkable feature that they have. Since the first hydraulic tipping trailer, JCB has come a long way and now produces a variety of tractors, backhoe loaders, forklift vehicles and so on.
