While the official date of Voith’s foundation is January 1st, 1867, the company still has a history before that. Its foundation journey began when J. M Voith took charge of his father’s locksmith workshop, which catered to the repairs of paper mills and water wheels.  Voith’s major success was through the first wood grinders, and it was only the beginning of more to come in the upcoming years. With time, the company grew bigger, and so did the private wealth of its owners.

The official foundation of the Voith brand took place when J.M Voith’s son became the sole owner and came in charge of the company. He followed in his father’s footsteps and the Voith brand grew, with specialization in paper machines, water wheels and turbines. Presently, Voith has 3 main divisions among them one is Voith Hydro: For the hydropower industry and therefore we are here to provide the hydraulic products from Voith.
